Bibury
The village of Bibury was described by William Morris as the most beautiful in England. The beauty is largely due to the river Colne that runs through the village setting off the delightful Cotswold stone cottages. The river also supplies the water for the trout farm and, in years gone by, powered Arlington Mill now a museum, antique shop and tea room. For a more substantial meal there is the Catherine Wheel pub, the Swan Hotel and the Bibury Court Hotel. No visit is complete without a photograph of Arlington Row, a terrace of former alms houses now owned by the National Trust.

Shops

In common with many other villages we have recently lost our shop and post office. Fortunately newspapers, milk and bread are now available from the trout farm shop, along with of course fresh and smoked trout and many other items. A post office operates 3 days a week from the gift shop, 'Present Time'.
